  "content": "<p>Hi all,</p>\n\n<p>I would like to clarify the deadlines. In the paper it says there is a deadline for validated submissions, and then one final submission period. Now I read in the rules here in the page that there is only one deadline, and during this one, you may choose two submissions for final judging. Which period are we now on, and how does deadlines work?</p>\n\n<p>Thanks for the great competition!</p>",

You must accept the competition rules before this date in order to compete.</p>\n\n<p>August 6, 2018 - Team Merger deadline. This is the last day participants may join or merge teams.</p>\n\n<p>August 13, 2018 - Final submission deadline.</p>\n\n<p>All deadlines are at 11:59 PM UTC on the corresponding day unless otherwise noted. The competition organizers reserve \nthe right to update the contest timeline if they deem it necessary.</p>",

You would inevitably find discrepancies between various preparatory documents and talks found on the web (we've been working on this for 3 years!) and the \"official\" information we provide now.
