  "content": "<p>i get this error when i run predict.py file in kaggle notebook but the same file runs without any error in colab notebook and gives predioction. </p>\n<p>error: OpenCV(4.12.0) 👎 error: (-5:Bad argument) in function 'imdecode'</p>\n<blockquote>\n  <p>Overload resolution failed:</p>\n  <ul>\n  <li>buf is not a numpy array, neither a scalar</li>\n  <li>Expected Ptr for argument 'buf'</li>\n  </ul>\n</blockquote>\n<p>this is the error message i got. can anyone help me to resolve this error ? </p>",

The Kaggle and Colab base environments have their own set of dependencies that come pre-installed. When you pip install new python libraries (as in the competition notebook), dependencies may get updated in various ways. You may want to look at the difference between the version of opencv-python installed in each environment once it is all set up, e.g. <code>pip list | grep opencv-python</code>.</p>\n<p>It may be a problem with the version of opencv-python or numpy (i.e. the version of opencv-python expects a particular version of numpy but a different version is present).</p>",
