  "content": "<p>I have some thoughts regarding this, believe it or not... very common practice, which is \"private sharing outside teams and late merging\".</p>\n\n<p>While is true that at the end they will not have more submissions, it is also true that there is a very specific reason to prefer breaking the rules to later merge and \"comply\" as getting an advantage at first to explore and validate many things at once.</p>\n\n<p>I saw some weird things going on in this competition, I really don't care about it as I did nothing, and while I do understand that honest mistakes happen, it does not change a thing.</p>\n\n<p>So, hopefully, rules would be enforced for the sake of community standards.</p>",

      "content": "<p>Hi NxGTR - We always remove teams when we have evidence of them breaking the rules. It's not a perfect science, though; we do our best to keep on top of things. We do appreciate when our community members point out anomalies (e.g., a brand new user gets into the top 50 less than an hour after creating an account).</p>",

          "content": "<p>Hi inversion, I am one of the members of (Eureka!) we were 4th place and we are removed from the LB</p>\n\n<p>We tried to contact you guys a few days back about our error on team merge: \n<a href=\"https://www.kaggle.com/c/tensorflow-speech-recognition-challenge/discussion/47162\">https://www.kaggle.com/c/tensorflow-speech-recognition-challenge/discussion/47162</a></p>\n\n<p>We tried everything to avoid considered cheater:\n1. We let our other teammate who cannot merge into our team stop any sort of submit immediately.\n2. We let the teammate select three very low LB point file as final submission to avoid affecting final LB.</p>\n\n<p>I think what make us get removed is this rule:</p>\n\n<p>&gt; This prohibition includes code sharing between separate Teams, unless a Team merger occurs, and sharing on public sites such as github. </p>\n\n<p>We are considered cheater because we (Eureka!) and one of our teammate (zonghua) cannot merge together, and we have submitted very similar answers.</p>\n\n<p>The problem is, it's our first competition in kaggle and  we understand this rule as \"if we are going to team up, then the code sharing between us is ok\". And obviously our understanding is wrong. However the rule itself is ambiguous.</p>\n\n<p>&gt; Any such code sharing is a breach of these Competition Rules and may result in disqualification.</p>\n\n<p>Now I understand that we are disqualification because of this. However we didn't do anything other than a failed late merge(and many, many other team does the same ), so is it really fair to say we are disqualified just because we failed to merge? </p>",
