During my career I've studied the dynamics of populations, pest populations (like CoT starfish) included, and also I've done field work doing benthos (sea floor) and coral community characterization in many reefs in Venezuela.

I'm starting to define my thesis in coral reef ecology, specially from the complex systems dynamic approach (critical bifurcations and regime shifts). I've done field research in coral reefs in Venezuela and approved university courses on Population & Community Ecology, Pests and Diseases (like the crown-of-thorns starfish is), Coral Reef Ecology and Mathematical Modelling, so I could be helpful. \nI'm currently defining my undergraduate thesis about coral reefs ecology, specifically it will be on how different factors (and must of the times they are working together) makes more difficult for reefs ecosystems to recover (resilience). During my career I've studied the dynamics of populations, pest populations (like CoT starfish) included, and also I've done field work doing benthos (sea floor) and coral community characterization in many reefs in Venezuela.
\nI'm part of one of the main and well established coral reef ecology labs in my country, so you can count with my knowledge and the indirect help of the other lab members.
