\nunfortunately you can hardly judge the real submission run time from the time of the run of your committed notebook. Even from 42 seconds I got Notebook Timeout (which appears after 9 hours run) and on the other hand I went through with nearly 2 minutes notebook.
\nThe run time depends on your model and image size, but average time of successful submissions can be about 4 to 5 hours. Lower image size results in shorter run.

\nAlthough I am not management, I am also trying to find my way into Data Science from more basic analysis done mostly with Excel. Some ideas of what you can do:
\nPowerBi & PowerQuery
\nAt least for me this is the most practical option, for many reasons. At my job I have lots of data but I don't have the time to stop doing my day to day tasks and invest hundrets of hours in learning Python. But a first approach can be to learn PowerBi and PowerQuery. It will allow you to visualize information quickly and apply it to your job. I think the return on time invested is great here.
Transition to Python
\nAs you start having more time because of small automations start transitioning to Python. Learn all the basics (I used w3 schools, but now I think the best option would be to buy a Udemy course) and then go for Pandas, MatPlotLib and Seaborn as soon as you can. I took some courses in Udemy for Pandas as well.
Try the harder courses
\nThere are great courses online. The best course for me was \"Machine Learning with Python: from Linear Models to Deep Learning\", which you can take for free in the edx platform. It gives you solid understanding of the basics.
Practical courses
\nOnce you understand the basics you can try a more practical approach. I liked the coursera deep learning specialization. The course in point 3 is very \"university style\", with lots of rigurous explanations. This one is easier and surely easier to apply in real projects, but the risk is to not really understand what is going on behind of it.
With this path you get most of the topics you mentioned. As of the requirements of your PC, I am using a cheap 3 years old gaming pc and can do a lot. Of course others are faster, but I don't think this is an issue when one starts learning this stuff. Install Python, Pycharm, Anaconda and if you want PowerBi.

\nunfortunately you can hardly judge the real submission run time from the time of the run of your committed notebook. Even from 42 seconds I got Notebook Timeout (which appears after 9 hours run) and on the other hand I went through with nearly 2 minutes notebook.
\nThe run time depends on your model and image size, but average time of successful submissions can be about 4 to 5 hours. Lower image size results in shorter run.
