"content": "

channel: channel id of mobile ad publisher

\n\n
Are there any mobile ad subject matter experts that can impart some knowledge on what exactly the 'channel' attribute is all about? OS, Device, IP, App, etc. are all very straightforward. In the data, they even gave some example devices (phone models). Can anyone, or even TalkingData, share some examples of what a channel might correspond to so that we have a better idea of what's being modeled there? What is a mobile channel? I know it's probably straightforward for someone in advertising.
",

      "content": "
Channel should refer to the advertising channel where the ad was shown (clicked on) . So think of facebook ads, google ads, etc. These bigger entities have their \"own\" channel, whereas smaller websites are using a common one, whcih is called \"ad exchange\". Basically, a big online exchange, very much like the stock exchange, where inventory on the corresponding website is sold to adverttisers to show their ad, real time for each visitor seperately. There are a few big ad exchanges in the \"game\". This is my understanding on the subject, hope the terminology is the same in China as well :)
",
