I wanted to ask if any others who are contributing here would be interested in starting a discussion group for RNA structure modeling--and ongoing and laid back to think and tinker and share work that's not on the hypersonic sort of timeframe of competitions like this, possibly on Discord or similar. Something more with a goal of \"discovering new fundamental principles of RNA structure within the next five years\"--quite possibly with more pure math derived, completely non-ML methods.
\nI am aware that the set of people in the world who would be interested in something like this may not have much overlap with the people on Kaggle. On the other hand, it MIGHT, if there are a whole bunch of people like me who said to themselves \"It clearly doesn't hurt to sign up in the off chance I have something working in a mere two months\". At least it's open to all, so people like myself who don't work in a lab that has anything to do with RNA structure see it, and I don't know of another place like that.
