  "content": "<p>This competition was one of my favorites last year, so I'm glad to see it back!</p>\n<p>Here are two resources I used last year that really helped once I started diving into the actual GPS logs:</p>\n<ol>\n<li>The Stanford GPS course (just the first part, you don't need the signal stuff):<br>\n<a href=\"https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o1Fyn_h6LKU&amp;list=PLGvhNIiu1ubyEOJga50LJMzVXtbUq6CPo\" target=\"_blank\">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o1Fyn_h6LKU&amp;list=PLGvhNIiu1ubyEOJga50LJMzVXtbUq6CPo</a></li>\n</ol>\n<p>This course has a great intro with vocab, etc, as well as details and equations if you actually want to start using the raw GPS data.</p>\n<ol>\n<li>The GPS book by one of the professors that did that class: <a href=\"https://www.amazon.com/Global-Positioning-System-Measurements-Performance/dp/0970954425\" target=\"_blank\">https://www.amazon.com/Global-Positioning-System-Measurements-Performance/dp/0970954425</a></li>\n</ol>\n<p>This book is good if you want more detail about the gps signals and how to actually use them to solve for position. It's pretty dense (it's a textbook!) but all the info you need is there.</p>\n<p>You can also approach this competition without knowing much at all about GPS though! There are already some good notebooks that will give you a baseline position, and you can try some post processing on that location directly.</p>\n<p>Good luck everyone!</p>",
