Yes, it is. I've asked hosts about this here. And it seems like they got it. However, it's not the end yet. You can easily make sure that there are still a lot of empty accounts in the medal zone.

I think it has a ways to go still. @chrisden is like 4 spots from the medal he deserves, and there are plenty of people above him that are clearly fraud. Many are in Wheat too, and set to medal there as well. Team yikououbao is pure fraud, look at the people yikououbao teams with, look how yikououbao has gotten medals, look at all the accounts involved in her comp history. Totally part of the network of fraudsters and keeping honest people from medaling.

\nI would consider it a great success to get a medal - 2nd medal finally means getting a competition rank.
\nBut if I fail after the competition cleanup (and it look's like it, as I dont see any further cleaning) I know why: I choose the wrong submissions because I was not careful enough with checking for CV and CV improvements.
\nI guess many people have better scoring submissions than what they chose.
