  "content": "<p>actually it might be better to use inactive competitions for lesson plan, because</p>\n<ul>\n<li>it does not violate the rule of private sharing</li>\n<li>you have infinite submissions</li>\n<li>you can see both public and private score (good to understand and learn about generation/shakeup)</li>\n<li>you have some baseline solutions to work with (e.g. top kaggler publish their works)</li>\n</ul>\n<p>there are a few downsides</p>\n<ul>\n<li>less discussion</li>\n<li>no medals</li>\n</ul>\n<hr>\n<p>so the best solution is : conduct lesson based on past competitions and encourage student to apply what is learned on existing active challenges. But during lessons, there is no hints or discussion on existing active challenges. hence the teacher is not responsible for student actions on their active competitions, since teacher only gives lessons based on past competitions.</p>\n<p>any techniques that work on previous challenges should also work for the current one. it is the techniques that matters most to the student (and not the medals)</p>",
