Bengali.ai was our first active trying completion and we shook up badly. But it was a great lesson. Back then, I wasn't very newbie in ml but was a newbie in kaggle.</p>\n<p>However, next was multilingual toxic classification, we're in the silver zone right 2 weeks before the competition end, and then we're invited, to form a team with one of a similar scored team. However, the point is, we won. My mom kept asking me, 'why I don't eat in time, sleep in time…what I'm doing all this time - month to month?' Then I showed to her and literally described what kaggle is; and told her that, we've achieved our first medal and it was silver. She was so so happy, even shared with our relatives. 😄</p>",

I will never forget the shake-ups I experienced so far and that overfitting on the public LB is a very sweet but bad temptation. </p>\n<p>Regardless what will happen, never forget what you have learnt during the competition. This is the true reward one can obtain and which makes taking part in competitions such fruitful! Personally I learnt so much new stuff again that is helpful for my daily work, starting with new tools I tried out (like albumentations package), new coding stuff I learnt (like implementing multiclass focal loss) continuing with new concepts I often had in mind but never tried out so far (like stratification on the patients) and ideas on how to adapt to the test data based on EDA. </p>\n<p>It was really a pleasure to take part in this competition even with my tiny little spare time I was able to contribute. This is definitely one of my favourite comps so far even though I still feel like in a score-lottery. </p>",

Hope you all end up at the rank where you deserve!\n\nIt was my first ongoing competition and learned a lot on the way, thanks to all who shared their experiences to the community. \n\nBtw I feel like I'm overfitted but oh well, then I'll experience my first shakeup too :)\n\nAnyways good luck all!",
"972897": "In my first competition (Microsoft Malware 1.5 years ago), I dropped 1400 positions in a shakeup, so if you do better than that, you're starting Kaggle competitions better than I did. \n\nGood luck Ertugrul. I hope private leaderboard treats you well. Your analysis and models were very helpful.",

"973302": "Good luck @datafan07 :-) !\n\nI hope you will survive the shake-up or at least do not experience a bad break-down. I will never forget the shake-ups I experienced so far and that overfitting on the public LB is a very sweet but bad temptation. \n\nRegardless what will happen, never forget what you have learnt during the competition. \n\nIt was really a pleasure to take part in this competition even with my tiny little spare time I was able to contribute. This is definitely one of my favourite comps so far even though I still feel like in a score-lottery. ",
"974026": "Good luck all and thanks to everyone who has contributed over the last few months.\n\nIt's my first competition (except for starter comps) and its been a fantastic experience. I was up to 50th position at one point but am now way out of the medals so at least I can sleep tonight without fear of the shake up!\n\nEchoing @mviola comments below, this competition has been a goldmine of learning opportunities and a real journey, including plenty of drama, from start to finish. From tomorrow I'm just going to do some gardening for a few days just to decompress!\n\nThanks again to all who have contributed to the discussion and the notebooks. See you all after the finish line.",
"972781": "Hope you'll end in a nice place without any shake up, you deserve it!",
"972732": "Thanks for your contribution in this comp as well. \nI like your kernels which have good scores without complexe blending & processing.",
"973332": "Good luck everyone! \nAs a spectator, I still enjoyed reading the forum and seeing you all discussing augmentation techniques, finding leaks, setting up a solid CV strategy, and even estimating the shakeup! \nFor any future doubts, I am pretty sure I can come back here and read something because this competition is a gold mine of ideas. \nI hope you all can get the position you deserve with your honest approach, despite all the issues of solution sharing and public high scoring notebooks. \nI like to take one step at a time so I'll be playing around with the getting started competitions for a while, but one day I am sure I'll be here competing with you and fearing my first 2000 positions drop! \nHave a nice day (or night) and have a laugh if things don't go as you wanted, we are here to get better and better!",
