Given the different modality manufacturers, bit depths and convolutions added, the images aren't visually consistent.</p>\n<p>As part of my pre-processing, I added an unsharp step to some images.</p>\n<p>I thought I would share the basic idea with this notebook -&gt; <a href=\"https://www.kaggle.com/davidbroberts/unsharp-masking-chest-x-rays\" target=\"_blank\">https://www.kaggle.com/davidbroberts/unsharp-masking-chest-x-rays</a></p>\n<p>I'm not clear what impact it will make on my models yet, but I think it <em>will</em> help.</p>",
