    "1322293": "There's a good solution in this notebook by Awsaf:\nhttps://www.kaggle.com/awsaf49/pydicom-conda-helper\n\nThose who are new to Kaggle may need more detailed info so here is the step by step process:\n\n1- Create a new notebook and run the following code in one of the cells. Let's call it 'GDCM-notebook'. \n\n```\n!wget 'https://anaconda.org/conda-forge/libjpeg-turbo/2.1.0/download/linux-64/libjpeg-turbo-2.1.0-h7f98852_0.tar.bz2' -q\n!wget 'https://anaconda.org/conda-forge/libgcc-ng/9.3.0/download/linux-64/libgcc-ng-9.3.0-h2828fa1_19.tar.bz2' -q\n!wget 'https://anaconda.org/conda-forge/gdcm/2.8.9/download/linux-64/gdcm-2.8.9-py37h500ead1_1.tar.bz2' -q\n!wget 'https://anaconda.org/conda-forge/conda/4.10.1/download/linux-64/conda-4.10.1-py37h89c1867_0.tar.bz2' -q\n!wget 'https://anaconda.org/conda-forge/certifi/2020.12.5/download/linux-64/certifi-2020.12.5-py37h89c1867_1.tar.bz2' -q\n!wget 'https://anaconda.org/conda-forge/openssl/1.1.1k/download/linux-64/openssl-1.1.1k-h7f98852_0.tar.bz2' -q\n```\n\n2- Commit GDCM-notebook. Tar files will be saved in the notebook output.\n\n3- Add GDCM-notebook to the notebook where you will be running inference (or training your model). This can be done by clicking the **+ Add Data** link located in the top right corner, and then searching for GDCM-notebook.\n\n4- Run the following code block at the top of your training/inference notebook. Change the path to each tar file so that it points to the GDCM-notebook that you added in step 3. After running this code you should be able to read dicom files without any errors.\n\n```\n# Example:\n# Changed from: 'libjpeg-turbo-2.1.0-h7f98852_0.tar.bz2'\n# Changed to: '../input/GDCM-notebook/libjpeg-turbo-2.1.0-h7f98852_0.tar.bz2'\n\n!conda install '../input/GDCM-notebook/libjpeg-turbo-2.1.0-h7f98852_0.tar.bz2' -c conda-forge -y\n!conda install '../input/GDCM-notebook/libgcc-ng-9.3.0-h2828fa1_19.tar.bz2' -c conda-forge -y\n!conda install '../input/GDCM-notebook/gdcm-2.8.9-py37h500ead1_1.tar.bz2' -c conda-forge -y\n!conda install '../input/GDCM-notebook/conda-4.10.1-py37h89c1867_0.tar.bz2' -c conda-forge -y\n!conda install '../input/GDCM-notebook/certifi-2020.12.5-py37h89c1867_1.tar.bz2' -c conda-forge -y\n!conda install '../input/GDCM-notebook/openssl-1.1.1k-h7f98852_0.tar.bz2' -c conda-forge -y\n```",

I followed your excellent instructions but I'm getting the following error:\n`\n/opt/conda/lib/python3.7/site-packages/pydicom/pixel_data_handlers/gdcm_handler.py in <module>\n     19 \n     20 try:\n---> 21     import gdcm\n     22     from gdcm import DataElement\n     23     HAVE_GDCM = True\n\n/opt/conda/lib/python3.7/site-packages/gdcm/__init__.py in <module>\n----> 1 from .gdcmswig import *\n\n/opt/conda/lib/python3.7/site-packages/gdcm/gdcmswig.py in <module>\n    174 GDCM_EXECUTABLE_OUTPUT_PATH = _gdcmswig.GDCM_EXECUTABLE_OUTPUT_PATH\n    175 GDCM_LIBRARY_OUTPUT_PATH = _gdcmswig.GDCM_LIBRARY_OUTPUT_PATH\n--> 176 OPENJPEG_VERSION_MAJOR = _gdcmswig.OPENJPEG_VERSION_MAJOR\n    177 GDCM_CMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX = _gdcmswig.GDCM_CMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX\n    178 GDCM_INSTALL_INCLUDE_DIR = _gdcmswig.GDCM_INSTALL_INCLUDE_DIR\n\nAttributeError: module '_gdcmswig' has no attribute 'OPENJPEG_VERSION_MAJOR'`\n\nAny hints would be appreciated!",
    "1403608": "My first thought would be to double check the paths. I suggest verifying that the name 'GDCM-notebook' has been correctly replaced with the name of the notebook that you created in Step 1. Running this code will print out a list names:\n\n```\nimport os\nos.listdir('../input/')\n```\n\nAs a quick fix you could ignore the steps below and simply run the following line at the start of your notebook. (The internet will need to be enabled for this to work.)\n\n`!conda install gdcm -c conda-forge -y`\n\nThis will allow you to train your model. But it can't be used when making a submission because the internet has to be disabled.",
