  "content": "<p>I would like to express my opinion for the hosts to note.</p>\n<p>The seizure detection method (SDM1) described in this Challenge is similar to the earthquake prediction method (EPM1) in use these days. In SDM1, electrical signals are gathered from sensors, and in EPM1, vibration signals are gathered from sensors.</p>\n<p>As far as I know, EPM1 has so far not succeeded in timely predictions of earthquakes, and likewise, I guess that SDM1 may not succeed in timely detections of seizures. To detect seizures much before their onset, it is necessary to look outside the box.</p>\n<p>Some animals living inside earth-holes or oceans are capable of feeling earthquakes well in advance. This is partly because, unlike EPM1 sensors, these animals are immersed inside the volume facing earthquakes.</p>\n<p>Thus, to detect seizures, it will be necessary to develop sensors that are immersed inside the brain mass. Such sensors will be able to detect variations in the capacitance and other internal properties.</p>\n<p>A table, which is vibrating due to normal building vibrations, will undergo abnormal vibrations when someone accidently hits the table. An analysis of normal vibrations will not be in a position to predict vibrations due to accidents.</p>\n<p>In order to predict vibrations due to accidents, it is necessary to have a panoramic view of the table's surroundings. Likewise, in order to predict seizures, it will be necessary to have a panoramic view of the whole brain.</p>",
