  "content": "<p>Hi all, This is just a minor administrative question.&nbsp; Apologies if the answer has already been clearly stated elsewhere.&nbsp; The rules state that employees of the Competition Sponsor are not eligible to compete.&nbsp; However, it's somewhat unclear which employer is relevant here, since different sponsors are listed in different places (UPenn, American Epilepsy Society, NINDS, etc...).&nbsp; Could this aspect of the eligibility rules be clarified?&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Thanks!</p>",

Before reading on, note that I am not a lawyer and I do not represent any of the above organizations.</p>\n<p>This rule is there&nbsp;to prevent&nbsp;employer/employee contractual conflicts and/or prevent an insider with access to the ground truth from winning.&nbsp;We've chosen&nbsp;the&nbsp;University of Pennsylvania as the sponsor on the rules page, so you can consider yourself eligible as long as you don't work for UPenn (and of course, don't have access to the answers, which applies no matter who you work for).</p>\n<p>Additionally, since this is a research competition and meant to be for the public good, I don't&nbsp;foresee a situation in which we would disqualify a UPenn-affiliated person who is not directly involved with the group&nbsp;hosting the competition.</p>",
