The data section states:</p>\n<blockquote>\n  <p><code>prior_question_elapsed_time</code>: … Is null for a user's first question bundle or lecture…</p>\n</blockquote>\n<p>The below screenshot is for a user whose first interaction is a bundle of questions, and it seems the pq fields aren't null.
