  "content": "<p>I'm currently facing an issue where external libralies  cannot be imported during offline submissions on Kaggle, and I would like to ask for assistance.</p>\n<h1>Problem</h1>\n<p>In Add-on → Installation Dependencies , I added:</p>\n<pre><code>pip  xxxx\npip  yyyy\n</code></pre>\n<p>Running with Internet ON (I confirmed this using the Run button shown in the image below.)→ ✔️ Works</p>\n<p>Submitting  → ❌ ModuleNotFoundError: No module named \"xxxx\"</p>\n<p>The installation succeeds when the internet is available, but during offline submission, \"the package is not found\" error happened..\n<img src=\"https://www.googleapis.com/download/storage/v1/b/kaggle-forum-message-attachments/o/inbox%2F6102605%2F441980b01e54fac9966d1872d600860b%2F2025-11-25%20012056.png?generation=1764001489058416&amp;alt=media\" alt=\"\"></p>\n<h1>Question</h1>\n<p>How can I avoid this error??Thank you!</p>",

      "content": "<p>Thank you for your reply!\nYes, as you mentioned, I’m trying to create an external package environment using the Addon’s install dependencies feature.</p>\n<p>After several weeks of debugging, I found that adding the option pip install xxxx --no-deps resolves the error. (Interestingly, when running pip install inside an ipynb, it worked even without --no-deps….)\n<a href=\"https://www.kaggle.com/sohier\" target=\"_blank\">@sohier</a> , are the environments used in Kaggle’s ipynb and in the dependency manager different?</p>",
