  "content": "<p>Following this <a href=\"https://www.kaggle.com/c/ranzcr-clip-catheter-line-classification/discussion/205147\" target=\"_blank\">discussion thread</a>, I'd like to suggest those small UI changes to make it clear when a notebook is copied from someone else, so people will be able to find the original notebooks.</p>\n<h2>Card at the top of the notebook</h2>\n<p>A card displayed in this manner (see arrow) would help quickly identify a copied notebook and determine if significant changes were made:</p>\n<p><img src=\"https://storage.googleapis.com/kaggle-forum-message-attachments/1131377/17778/improvement1.JPG\" alt=\"\"></p>\n<h2>Icon and text coloring</h2>\n<p>By adding an icon at the end of the notebook title and changing the color of the text specifying a notebook was copied/forked, it would be non-intrusively link a user to the original notebook:</p>\n<p><img src=\"https://storage.googleapis.com/kaggle-forum-message-attachments/1131377/17779/improvement2.JPG\" alt=\"\"></p>\n<h2>Notification about original notebook</h2>\n<p>When a user upvotes a notebook, it would be nice to have a pop-up appearing to prompt them to upvote the original notebook (if they haven't done so yet):</p>\n<p><img src=\"https://storage.googleapis.com/kaggle-forum-message-attachments/1131377/17781/improvement3.JPG\" alt=\"\"></p>",

I would hope that the transitive upvote makes it more likely people would aim to produce well commented, modular notebooks designed to be a starting point for others to experiment with and share. Hopefully that would make notebooks that are a good foundation for more work more valuable than simply high scoring notebooks!</p>",
