  "content": "<p>Wanted to make sure, but if nothing submitted yet, then Dec 4th is last day to do so, in order to then have Dec 10th as final submission date?  Decided late that I would enter competition, and thought I had till Dec 10th to submit; have not submitted anything yet. Supposed I just could have submitted a random entry. Is that all that's required for Dec 4th?  Thanks.</p>\n\n<p>Sorry, to clarify, thought Dec 4th was for models that used pre-trained data only; implying for me that models that don't are to be uploaded on Dec10th.</p>",

      "content": "<p>If you're confident that you haven't made use of any work (i.e. source code) that isn't a result of your own efforts (I mean reasonably speaking -- we all know every programmer builds on countless other's backs), and you don't use any sources that aren't reasonably available to all contest participants, then you're absolutely correct.</p>\n\n<p>You have to declare any special sources of stuff like the weights of specific networks by today, but you can still keep developing your code until the 10th.  I'm pretty sure that's totally correct information, but if I'm wrong, don't hold Kaggle responsible :)</p>\n\n<p>Oh... by reasonable, what I mean is \"you only used stuff you have the legal right to use.\"  Copyrights, licenses, all that good stuff.  My bad.  When you think about all the tools you'd be useless without (the language, the compiler if applicable, the operating system, the hardware drivers, the hardware itself, the electricity, etc, etc., etc.), it's kind of a miracle we don't all get sued every day, haha.</p>\n\n<p>For example, NVIDIA's driver:</p>\n\n<pre><code> 1.1.2.
