Please note that many of the images are protected by copyright and should not be used for any purpose other than data mining. The copyright does not reside with the contest organizers, but rather with the artists that produced the works in the data set. The inclusion of copyrighted works in a data set used for data mining is regarded as &quot;<a href=\"https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fair_use\">fair use</a>&quot; in the US: most other jurisdictions have some sort of provision that is analagous to &quot;fair use&quot;.</p>\n\n<p>If you do use the data set in a publication, it would be nice to indicate that the data was sourced primarily from wikiart.org by Small Yellow Duck and is hosted by Kaggle.</p>",
