"content": "
From the promoted content dataset, there's a one-to-many relationship between document_id and ad_ids. So thousands of ads may be leading to a single document. What I am not clear about is -- why are there so many different ad_ids that actually point to the same ad?
\n\n
Initially I assumed that perhaps for each new campaign launched for the same ad (i.e same underlying document_id), there's a new ad_id assigned. But then there should be just one ad_id for each (document_id, campaign_id, advertiser_id) key. But I see that there are even thousands of ad_ids for many unique combinations above.
\n\n
What am I missing? Admittedly, I have a limited exposure to Adtech domain, so I will be thankful if someone can explain how this works.
\n\n
Another thing that comes to mind is -- that perhaps there are hundreds of ad creatives that get created for each underlying ad document and each one is then assigned a new ad_id. Is this correct? Is there more to it?
\n\n
Thanks in advance.
",
