  "content": "<p>I've been able to successfully load all CT scans, even the ones that need the GDCM package (thanks to <a href=\"https://www.kaggle.com/c/osic-pulmonary-fibrosis-progression/discussion/166957\" target=\"_blank\">this thread</a>. Still wondering why is GDCM needed for those images? Do they use a different encoding? Thanks in advance.</p>",

      "content": "<p>I concluded that GDCM is needed from the error message that we see when trying to load these scans. However, I didn't dig deeper in the reasons why these specific scans need it. It will be good to know if someone had time to figure that out. Thanks for your post!</p>",
