What is prohibited in our rules is private sharing.
\n\n
Sharing occurs on a spectrum, and for us \"private sharing\" goes beyond non-specific ideas and involves exact models & parameters that would be privileged information for the people who created them. For this reason, we strongly advise any sharing that could be interpreted as private happen on Kaggle's forums or isolated within the team you are working with.
\n\n
The definition of sharing and what ventures into the realm of private will always be a grey area - but we are all professionals with a mutual goal and should exercise ourselves with a base level of civility & respect. We at Kaggle want to host competitions that bring our community together around a common interest - not create an environment that devolves into a thread like this. Let this also be a reminder of Kaggle's community guidelines.
\n\n
Let's all focus on real data science work and discussions. Violations of Kaggle's rules are reviewed through our compliance channel. Clear, conclusive evidence should be provided if making a claim. Every claim is read and valid claims are handled accordingly. Note that action on substantiated claims may not be taken until the close of the competition, as part of our standard violators removal process.
",

"605617": "What matters most is healthy competitions and community. Many people compete at Kaggle because getting a Kaggle medal is one of the most prestigious honor in the data science community. It differentiates Kaggle from other competition platforms, and indeed, that is why I participate in Kaggle.\n\nWhat if unfair contestants win over fair contestants? What if Kaggle medals are considered to indicate cheating ability instead of data science and machine learning ability? The outcome is trivial.\n\nAdmins, please think seriously about dishonest acts. They are about to severely destroy the value of Kaggle.",

"605481": "Based on experience, I would say it is permitted from kaggle - BUT (big but), **it shouldn't be**",
"605780": "Kaggle openly promotes learning and sharing across our community, and that extends to countless other media that have spawned from users' love of Kaggle (meetups, social media groups, slack channels, etc). What is prohibited in our rules is private sharing. \n\nSharing occurs on a spectrum, and for us \"private sharing\" goes beyond non-specific ideas and involves exact models & parameters that would be privileged information for the people who created them. For this reason, **we strongly advise any sharing that could be interpreted as private happen on Kaggle's forums or isolated within the team you are working with**.\n\nThe definition of sharing and what ventures into the realm of private will always be a grey area - but we are all professionals with a mutual goal and should exercise ourselves with a base level of civility & respect. We at Kaggle want to host competitions that bring our community together around a common interest - not create an environment that devolves into a thread like this. Let this also be a reminder of [Kaggle's community guidelines](https://www.kaggle.com/general/60914).\n\nLet's all focus on real data science work and discussions. Violations of Kaggle's rules are reviewed through our [compliance channel](https://www.kaggle.com/compliance). Clear, conclusive evidence should be provided if making a claim. Every claim is read and valid claims are handled accordingly. Note that action on substantiated claims may not be taken until the close of the competition, as part of our standard violators removal process.",
