      "content": "<p>In my opinion, a player can move side wise along a path and rotate his body partly to pass ball. Direction is the path that player follows. If we consider another vector which directs outward from the player to the next receiver then this vector will make certain angle with direction vector. This is orientation. You can measure it on X-Y plane and it happened due to rotation of Z-axis.</p>",

My assumptions were that direction is the trajectory of movement from any player (QB,CB,TE, etc...) as a vector while orientation was the position vector of the line of sight ( where they are looking) of the player.  I am guessing this is collected from shoulder sensors as the players rotates their body.  Thank you for your opinion.</p>",
