"content": "
Hi..\nI have a doubt about M42 field. I understood that it reflects 42 days or more missed because injury..\nBut, if you see PlayerKey 39678, he had injury on GameID = 2.. And he has M42 with 1.. But, at PlayList table, he had GameID = 2 in Day =8 and next game in Day = 43... With 35 days between games.. and not more than 42.. Can you clarify me about M42 flag and in this specific case? Thanks
",

      "content": "
My first thought was that at least there is some inconsistencies with the DM_M# fields. I noticed a similar pattern with 33337 and 43540 where they were supposed to be injured but played in all the following games. I wondered if DM_M# might better represent the common Doubtful or Questionable label given to injured players. That meaning they can play but often don't practice and a decision is made near game time whether they are benched or play.
\n\n
Another explanation which might make sense, is that as explained GameID is relative, likewise PlayKey is relative. That being said player 36557 was injured on 36557-1-70 and then sat out for >42 days as DM_M42 indicates. In PlayerTrack 36557-2-1 until 36557-3-69 represent the following plays. For example 36557-1-70 might have been Sunday November 3rd and 36557-2-1 might be Sunday December 22nd. That might make more sense as I look into more players and see no breaks.
",
