"content": "
Hey all,
\n
I was skimming though the data sets and saw the 'vises' description within the PFF data. I am pretty familiar with most football positions, but this one threw me for a loop. I unfortunately did not find much insight within the field description or on google. I was wondering if anyone could elaborate a little more on what the role of a ' vise player' on the punt return team is? Thanks in advance and also a special thanks to everyone involved in hosting the Big Data Bowl.
\n
Cheers!
",

His primary goal is to stalemate a gunner and keep him from making a tackle, and since there are few rules governing what can be done to a gunner, the vice is one of the most enjoyable positions to watch in any given game.
\n
The vises field in this data set contains the team name and the jersey number of the players who are playing the role of a vice on that play.
",
