      "content": "<p>Having a background in biology and knowing how small molecule therapeutics work is definitely a benefit, however, I would say it isn't absolutely necessary.  There are lots of great notebooks and discussions that introduce how to work with chemical data to help bring you up to speed.  In addition, not being biased by the traditional approaches to this type of analysis might give you an advantage in coming up with a new approach.
