"content": "
On our aging, copper-based Australian Internet, downloading large datafiles with a web browser can be a problem. However, there is a way to download outside of the browser, with a resumable command line tool, such as 'wget'.
\n\n
This is with Chrome - your browser experience may vary: I've found that if I open the browser's developer tools, open the network tab, and start the download in the web page, then cancel the download, I can grab the download URL and use it with wget or similar.
\n\n
Example wget invocation:
\n\n
wget -v -c -O additional.7z 'https://kaggle2.blob.core.windows.net/competitions-data/kaggle/6243/additional.7z?[SNIPPED]'
\n\n
The get the URL, find the download in the network tab, right-click then 'Copy' → 'Copy Link Address'.
\n\n
If the download fails for some reason (or you shut down the PC, etc.), then simply re-invoking the command will continue the download, courtesy of the '-c' flag.
",
