"content": "
In my previous post, I discussed about risks of localization when it comes to privacy. I gave a few examples, but I didn't lay out what/how exactly it could be improved.
\n
As a follow up, I decided to share a few research papers I found on the intersection of localization and privacy. They are likely not directly useful to this competition, since the data has already been collected, and the information contained is likely different. However, I know the dataset and models developed here will be used in the future to inspire people in their projects and POCs, so I hope that the following papers will give some food for thoughts for whoever will be developing localization solutions in the future.
\n
General (but mostly engineering)
\n
\n
Protecting location privacy: optimal strategy against localization attacks - ACM 2012
\n
Multi-lateral Privacy-Preserving Localization inPervasive Environments - IEEE 2014
\n
Privacy-Preserving Indoor Localization on Smartphones - IEEE 2015
\n
Security and privacy in localization for underwater sensor networks - IEEE 2015
\n
\n
Machine Learning
\n
\n
Challenges of Privacy-aware Localization on Wearable Devices - Finnish URSI Convention 2019
\n
PILOT: Practical Privacy-Preserving Indoor Localization Using OuTsourcing - IEEE 2019
\n
Federated Learning for Localization: A Privacy-Preserving Crowdsourcing Method - ArXiv 2020
\n
FedLoc: Federated Learning Framework for Data-Driven Cooperative Localization and Location Data Processing - IEEE 2020
\n
\n
\n
Obviously this is not exhaustive, so if you think something should be added please let me know!
\n
",
