For the last several weeks I've been trying and failing to access images on ImageNet for a separate but related image recognition project. The site notes \"ImageNet server is under maintenance. Synsets outside ILSVRC are temporarily unavailable.\". I found a post on some forum from March mentioning this same problem, so perhaps the site has been 'under maintenance' for months. I'm trying to learn whether this maintenance will ever be complete, or whether the site has been abandoned. I emailed support@image-net.org but received no reply. I've been searching everywhere online and have been unable to find any information about this.
\n\nI'm aware that there are various available downloads for portions of ImageNet, but these do not meet my needs. I want to pull down select image sets by plugging specific WNIDs into the imagenet url. These WNIDs may fall outside those used by ILSVRC.
\n\nDoes anyone have any info about what is going on with ImageNet, or ways that I could contact them to find out?

But, in my experience, it is only happening with certain search terms. For example, I can search on cap or baseball and get results, but if I search on baseball cap I get the \"under maintenance\" error page.
