  "content": "<p>I've been reading some of the notes on the Icecube detector and I'm still confused about a few things.</p>\n<p>Can neutrinos directly produce photons of light in the detector or do they first produce muons which in turn produce light?</p>\n<p>Same thing for cascade-like or showerlike events. Are they produced directly by neutrinos which produce a cascade of photons or is it produced by muons which were produced by a neutrino?</p>",
