  "content": "<p>Obviously the images are pretty big and are thus difficult to visualize.</p>\n<p>Just now, I stumbled upon the  DeepZoom format. It seems to offer fast zooming for very large images, see <a href=\"https://photo.stackexchange.com/a/12214/94538\" target=\"_blank\">https://photo.stackexchange.com/a/12214/94538</a> . Viewers seem to exist, see e.g.  <a href=\"https://pypi.org/project/django-deepzoom/\" target=\"_blank\">https://pypi.org/project/django-deepzoom/</a> </p>\n<p>A similar image format seems to be offered by OpenSlide, which also offers export to DeepZoom<br>\nsee <a href=\"https://github.com/openslide/openslide-python/blob/master/openslide/deepzoom.py\" target=\"_blank\">https://github.com/openslide/openslide-python/blob/master/openslide/deepzoom.py</a></p>\n<p>Before I go down this road myself: </p>\n<ul>\n<li>Does anybody have experience with any of those image formats?</li>\n<li>Are there similar such image formats out there?</li>\n</ul>",
