My view on kaggle and job hunting, is you compete in the competition is important. This is visible and incredibly valuable for a prospective employer. Are you helpful? Do you share information (of course not everything). What is the quality of your code like? Do you copy code without acknowledgement of source? It's not just your end position in the competition that is important.

\nMy personal opinion, that is not on behalf of Home Credit is that I think it will greatly increase your chances of getting a job at Home Credit if you make it into top200 or have some kind of interesting solution.
