Apologies for crying foul, but looks like the lower silver region of LB is seeing massive changes. While I thought there were valid reasons behind that ( last weekend etc.), a simple browse through the LB shows me 2 deleted account submissions, so maybe who knows.

The silver benchmark has gone from ~0.0243 to ~0.0250 in just 2/3 days after being almost stable for more than a week.

Ultimately it's just the color of a medal, but here is where the time investment stings.

P.S. Not accusing anyone (Have not tracked anyone's progress). Just mentioning there are a few shady accounts.

I mean I think there its guaranteed to have at least a couple of burner accounts per competition. I just remember that in the Tensorflow crown of thorns comp there were ~20 accounts removed in medal region. I also suspect that there might be a good amount of shakeup considering tuning that notebook ensemble weights is the main strategy for top public notebooks.

I see. ~20 accounts seem bad. I have not participated much in the last 1-2 years, so I was not aware. Shake-up seems inevitable for 50 onward ranks. I feel the top ~50 people still seem pretty robust from the discussions.

It's really frustrating when you put a lot of time into a competition and then get beaten by someone using a burner account. I hope Kaggle does something to crack down on this kind of thing.
