  "content": "<p>Devices get more sophisticated a huge amount of users can scarcely keep up. </p>\n<p>Innovations are barely used at all. Due to lack of know-how or  maybe even interest. </p>\n<p>For many users, smartphones/watches are way more powerful than they need to be. Like PC were in the beginning.</p>\n<p>Talking about GPS signal:  </p>\n<p>\"Disadvantage of GPS:  satellite signal is quite weak. It cannot be used indoors or in areas where a clear view of the sky is not possible such as in forests, next to tall buildings or in deep valleys.\"</p>\n<p>Or if you have a smartwatch it will run an open water swim Algorithm. When your arm is under the water (e.g. breast or butterfly stroke) you will lose satellite signal. Don't blame the watch/GPS.</p>\n<p>As well as you raise your arm (altitude matters) GPS records the stats you would be expecting (Distance and Time is enough for amateurs).  </p>\n<p>In Conclusion:</p>\n<p>Remember to use GPS outdoors, avoid proximity with tall buildings, forests, valleys. If you're swimming with a smartwatch raise your arm so that signal will return and GPS computes the distances to the satellites, enabling you to update your stats.  </p>\n<p>And if anyone says “Enchant me.
