      "content": "<p>No surprise, these two transformations make little sense in this competition.</p>\n<p>Vertical flip would mean you flip frequencies.  This never works in competition with frequency x time representations (audio competitions like the birdsong competitions,  SETI competition, this one).</p>\n<p>Horizontal flip means you revert time.  This would work only if the signal is symmetric over time.  It is clearly not the case here.</p>",
