"3157324": "Building accurate knowledge of the identity, geographic distribution, and evolution of species is essential for sustainable development and biodiversity conservation. However, the routine identification of plants and animals in the field significantly hampers the aggregation of new data and knowledge. Identifying and naming living plants or animals is almost impossible for the public and often a challenging task for professionals and naturalists. Bridging this gap is a key challenge toward enabling effective biodiversity monitoring systems. The LifeCLEF evaluation campaign has been boosting and evaluating advances in this domain since 2011.\n\nEach year, participants of **LifeCLEF** publish their research as part of the **CLEF workshop proceedings** (e.g., [CLEF 2024 Proceedings](https://ceur-ws.org/Vol-3740/)). As in previous years, we encourage you to contribute by publishing a working note detailing your solution **even if you're not among the top-scoring participants!** If you have an interesting method, ablation study, or novel insight—**we want to hear from you!** \n\n### 🔥 Why submit a working note? \n- **Publish original research** and gain scientific recognition \n- **Make your approach accessible** to a broader audience \n- **Strengthen your academic profile**\n- **Become eligible to present at CLEF 2025** \n\n### 📅 Submission Timeline \n- ❗**June 7, 2025 – Deadline for working note submissions**❗\n- **June 21, 2025** – First Round Decisions\n- **June 31, 2025** – Second Round Decisions\n- **July 7, 2025** – Camera-ready deadline for working notes \n- **July 25, 2025** – Announcement of best working note winners \n\n### 📄 Submission Information \n- **Working notes** will be published in the **CEUR-WS proceedings**, assigned a **DOI**, and indexed in **DBLP, Scopus, Google Scholar, etc.**. \n- **Single blind review** will be conducted by the LifeCLEF organizing committee to ensure quality.\n\n### 📥 Submission Template & Process \n- Please use this single column [**working note template**](https://www.overleaf.com/latex/templates/template-for-submissions-to-ceur-workshop-proceedings-ceur-ws-dot-org/wqyfdgftmcfw). \n- Submissions will be handled via [**EasyChair**](https://easychair.org/my/conference?conf=clef2025).\n- For reference, we attach selected previously accepted FungiCLEF working notes below: \n + [FungiCLEF 2024; winner, *Stefan Wolf et al.*](https://ceur-ws.org/Vol-3740/paper-212.pdf)\n + [FungiCLEF 2024; 2nd place, *Jack Etheredge*](https://ceur-ws.org/Vol-3740/paper-195.pdf)\n + [FungiCLEF 2023; winner, *Huan Ren, et al.*](https://ceur-ws.org/Vol-3497/paper-179.pdf)\n\n- [Overview paper of FungiCLEF 2023](https://ceur-ws.org/Vol-3497/paper-166.pdf).\n- [Overview paper of FungiCLEF 2024](https://ceur-ws.org/Vol-3740/paper-185.pdf).\n- **Dataset Paper** describing used data --> [FungiTastic](https://arxiv.org/pdf/2408.13632) \n- Papers describing the old dataset [Danish Fungi dataset] (https://openaccess.thecvf.com/content/WACV2022/html/Picek_Danish_Fungi_2020_-_Not_Just_Another_Image_Recognition_Dataset_WACV_2022_paper.html) and our [Fungi Recognition App](https://www.mdpi.com/1424-8220/22/2/633).\n\nWe look forward to your contributions! 🚀 \n\n**If you have any questions, feel free to ask in this thread.**\n\nOn behalf of the organizing committee,\nLukáš Picek",
