"content": "
Hi all,
\n\n
We intend to publish at least one (and maybe two) academic papers related to this competition.
\n\n
(1) The first one will be submitted to the DCASE Workshop, and it describes the competition (the task, the dataset and the baseline). The goal of this publication is that participants can cite it when referring to details of the task, dataset, baseline, etc.
\n\n
The paper is now available in Arxiv. If you are participating to this competition or using the dataset or baseline code please cite the following paper:
\n\n
\n
Eduardo Fonseca, Manoj Plakal, Frederic Font, Daniel P. W. Ellis,\n Xavier Favory, Jordi Pons, Xavier Serra. General-purpose Tagging of\n Freesound Audio with AudioSet Labels: Task Description, Dataset, and\n Baseline. Submitted to DCASE2018 Workshop, 2018. URL:\n https://arxiv.org/abs/1807.09902
\n
\n\n
You can also consider citing the Freesound datasets platform, that was used to build the FSDKaggle2018 dataset:
\n\n
\n
Eduardo Fonseca, Jordi Pons, Xavier Favory, Frederic Font, Dmitry\n Bogdanov, Andrés Ferraro, Sergio Oramas, Alastair Porter, and Xavier\n Serra. Freesound datasets: a platform for the creation of open audio\n datasets. In Proceedings of the 18th International Society for Music\n Information Retrieval Conference (ISMIR 2017), pp 486-493. Suzhou,\n China, 2017.
\n
\n\n

\n(2) A potential second publication would happen after the competition is concluded and it would be a review of the competition, including an analysis of the results, the major trends used in the competition, etc. For this, it is important that we have reports describing the systems and meta-information files to facilitate us the extraction of the most important information. If you'd like us to include your methodology and results in the competition review, there are two options:
\n\n
\n

Submit a technical report (or Workshop paper) and a meta-information file through DCASE submission system, as specified in this thread. We strongly encourage this option as it benefits the research community and it is a way to disseminate your work and get further academic reputation.

\n

Alternatively, you can submit a write-up through Kaggle, and fill this form:
\nhttps://goo.gl/forms/H6NkZV07p7HIqKXz2

\n
\n\n
Thanks for your cooperation!
",
