      "content": "<p>Nick, calculating each plane in isolation is completely unrealistic. &nbsp;Congestion near airports, in busy airspace sectors and on playbook routes around storms is THE major cause of flight delays in the real world. &nbsp;When these issues are known in advance, ground delays and ground stops are put in place to keep aircraft on the ground so they do not have to burn fuel waiting in the air but the crew and passenger costs still accumulate on the ground.</p>\n<p>Flight plans in the real world must avoid restricted airspace and be approved by air traffic controllers. &nbsp;Are we trying to improve real world results or a theoretical unrealistic simulation?</p>\n<p>If we are trying to improve a simulation can you give us more information about what the simulation actually models?</p>",

      "content": "<p>@Noam - I agree with what you are saying, but note that the data page lists FAA programs as one element. So it's possible that traffic restrictions will appear as bounded polygons, which would make the simulation more realistic.</p>",
