It would be important to&nbsp;get the signal of each type of sensor separately.</p>",

      "content": "<p>Ah,</p>\n<p>I see two separate files:</p>\n<p>https://github.com/mne-tools/mne-python/blob/master/mne/layouts/Vectorview-grad.lout</p>\n<p>https://github.com/mne-tools/mne-python/blob/master/mne/layouts/Vectorview-mag.lout</p>\n\n<p>but within the gradiometers, it is not clear which sets of gradiometers are orthogonal to which set i.e. are the gradiometers into two sets that are mutually orthogonal, or are they pairwise orthogonal, but there is not a single set that is orthogonal to the other?</p>\n\n<p>For example:&nbsp;<br><br></p>\n<p>Gradiometer&nbsp;pair 113, 112 are orthogonal to each other.</p>\n<p>and &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;pair &nbsp;122, 123 are orthogonal to each other.</p>\n<p>But, are 113 and 123 in a similar orientation? Do all sensors postfixed with 3 share some properties, and sensors postfixed with 2 share some properties?</p>",
