the CZ Imaging Institute is going to host a workshop on the outcomes of this competition:

CryoET Object Identification Workshop
\n2-4 April 2025
\nCZ Imaging Institute, Redwood City, California

\n

This workshop will be focused on the intersection of machine learning and cryogenic electron tomography (cryoET), specifically addressing the challenge of annotation and segmentation of tomograms. One goal of the workshop is to facilitate discussions between the ML and cryoET communities. Part of the agenda of the workshop will be to discuss the outcomes of this Kaggle competition. We will have presentations from CryoET methods developers as well as from some of the winners of the Kaggle competition. We also hope to gain insights from the results of the challenge and get input on the design of future object identification challenges.
