  "content": "<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p>After see the results of R NN packages I decided give a chance to pylearn2.</p>\r\n<p>I've installed anaconda distribution and theano.</p>\r\n<p>Next step, install pylearn2.</p>\r\n<p>I found this:</p>\r\n<p><span style=\"line-height:1.4em\">&quot;Download and installation</span></p>\r\n<p>No PyPI download yet. You must checkout the version in github for bleeding-edge/development version, available via:</p>\r\n<div class=\"x_highlight-bash\">\r\n<div class=\"x_highlight\">\r\n<pre>git clone git://github.com/lisa-lab/pylearn2.git\r\n</pre>\r\n</div>\r\n</div>\r\n<p>You also need to set your PYLEARN2_DATA_PATH variable. On linux, the best way to do this is to add a line to your .bashrc file:</p>\r\n<div class=\"x_highlight-bash\">\r\n<div class=\"x_highlight\">\r\n<pre><span class=\"x_nb\">export </span><span class=\"x_nv\">PYLEARN2_DATA_PATH</span><span class=\"x_o\">=</span>/data/lisa/data\r\n</pre>\r\n</div>\r\n</div>\r\n<p>Note that this is only an example, and if you are not in the LISA lab, you will need to choose a directory path that is valid on your filesystem.       "content": "<p>You don't need a github account to clone from the github URL, but you do need git.</p>\r\n<p>Where did you get the zip file from? I don't know what that is.</p>\r\n<p>I don't know anything about Windows, but here is a tutorial on environment variables in Windows 7 that I found with Google:</p>\r\n<p>http://www.itechtalk.com/thread3595.html</p>\r\n<p>You don't need to do anything special with pylearn2 to register or install it, other than make sure it's somewhere your python interpreter can find it.</p>\r\n<p>What is anaconda? That's not something I use. I looked it up on wikipedia and it says it's the installer for Red Hat, but that doesn't make any sense in this context.</p>",

Seems my spyder IDE finds pylearn2.</p>\r\n<p>I found theano dir in c:/Anaconda/lib/site-packages/theano so I copied pylearn2 dir in&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p>c:/Anaconda/lib/site-packages/pylearn2 and spyder found it without need add the dir to the windows path! (Probably this is trivial but I haven't read anywhere).</p>\r\n<p>It's too late. Tomorrow will continue.</p>",

      "content": "<p>Don't bother running setup.py, just put pylearn2 somewhere on your PYTHONPATH. Very few features use cython and they'll raise an error message telling you if you try to use one. I'm pretty sure there are literally only two features that use it.</p>",

      "content": "<p>My guess is that you're running with theano configured to use gpu (&quot;device&quot; set to &quot;gpu&quot; in either your .theanorc file or THEANO_FLAGS environment variable) but you don't have the CUDA developer tools installed so theano isn't able to compile the GPU code.\r\n Does that sound like it could be the problem? If so, either just run on CPU, or if you have a GPU, install CUDA and try again.</p>\r\n<p>Another possibility is that you have CUDA installed but theano can't find it.</p>",

      "content": "<p>That's strange. It looks like for some reason sys.argv isn't getting set right when you run the script from the command line. I don't know anything about python on Windows so I'm afraid I won't be much help.</p>",

The workaround is include the relative path in the call.</p>",
