      "content": "<p>For me, this technique worked. Keep in mind that any augmentation technique is having a lot of parameters. They have settings in which you can tune their specific intensity level and other specific parameters. My advice is to try to play will the augmentation parameters on a representative set of images containing all labels and find an optimum set of parameters</p>",

      "content": "<p>it is perplexing, indeed, now that you mention it - that modifying the hsv values would alter what we think is the precise distinguishing feature (color) between classes - but in a notebook that i forked, it did use an hsv shift augmentation.  and when i removed it, it scored lower.  my takeaway is that there is something to be gained by using that augmentation in the dataloader.<br>\nhere is that piece:</p>\n<pre><code>A.HueSaturationValue(\n               hue_shift_limit=0.2, \n               sat_shift_limit=0.2, \n               val_shift_limit=0.2, \n               p=0.5\n           ),\n</code></pre>\n<p>A is albumentation</p>",
