"content": "
So the dataset is on Dryad… and only on Dryad? Is there a reason the dataset is not available on Kaggle?
\n
I'm fairly new to Kaggle, so I could be wrong (and please correct me if I am), but it seems like this means that if we want to use Kaggle's compute resources we will need to individually manually upload the dataset to Kaggle. Otherwise, if we don't do so, we are stuck to just downloading the dataset to our personal computers and training the models on our personal computers.
",

I didn't even know that Kaggle offered compute resources!
\n
For now, you are correct, the data is only hosted on Dryad. We are an academic lab and Dryad is standard and useful for licensing & linking datasets to publications. For now, if you want to use Kaggle's compute resources you will need to manually upload the data yourself. Sorry for the inconvenience! If there's sufficient demand, I can look into hosting the data directly on Kaggle (I'm not immediately sure if our lab has rules about where data gets hosted).
\n
Edit: Data is now uploaded directly to the Kaggle competition page. See the
Data
tab.
",
