I am the Director of the <a href=\"https://www.birds.cornell.edu/ccb/\">Center for Conservation Bioacoustics (CCB)</a> at the <a href=\"https://www.birds.cornell.edu\">Cornell Lab of Ornithology</a> and a co-host of this competition. In collaboration with local partners, CCB is running acoustic monitoring projects around the globe to enable data-driven conversation. It means that one second of sound in site 3 has much less weight in LB performance metric that one second of sound in sites 1 or 2.</p>",
