\nWe have a model that's good at classifying between birds. CV is around ~0.62 with an effnet-B3. We're struggling at detecting call/nocall. Our current best score is a result of some postprocessing to get around the threshold, but that's our bottleneck for sure.

\nI'm a software engineer currently studying data science post graduate course.
\nI have already built a simple model locally in keras and trained using 600,000 image features derived using melspectrograms. The model is a custom model with CNN front end followed by 3-tier GRN network and linear classifier to the 264 categories (see attached png - warning its a large png).
\nUnfortunately, it doesn't quite work yet - but I am still learning - this is my first attempt at building a model and learning keras :) ! Also I am becoming a big fan of keras over pytorch due to the flexibility and fine grained control over the model construction.

\nMainly my strategy is focusing on building a bird classification model using efficientnet so I think when combined with a good nocall model, or a strong model derived from public kernels it could achieve quite a good score.

\nI'm a software engineer currently studying data science post graduate course.
\nI have already built a simple model locally in keras and trained using 600,000 image features derived using melspectrograms. The model is a custom model with CNN front end followed by 3-tier GRN network and linear classifier to the 264 categories (see attached png - warning its a large png).
\nUnfortunately, it doesn't quite work yet - but I am still learning - this is my first attempt at building a model and learning keras :) ! Also I am becoming a big fan of keras over pytorch due to the flexibility and fine grained control over the model construction.
