  "content": "<p>I have just uploaded a large bird-call dataset on behalf of the Department of Conservation - Te Papa Atawhai (Aotearoa)  <br>\n<a href=\"https://www.kaggle.com/datasets/ollypowell/new-zealand-bird-sound\" target=\"_blank\">New Zealand Bird Sound</a></p>\n<p>There should be no overlap at all with BirdCLEF 25, but you might like to use it for model pre-training.   Later this year my colleagues and I hope to produce some fully annotated soundscapes for model comparisons &amp; testing.</p>\n<p>A huge amount fieldwork and labeling effort went into these recordings.  It spans over ten years and has involved many dedicated conservationists.  I feel very grateful to have been given access and permission to share them.</p>",
