  "content": "<p>Congratulations to the winner!</p>\n<p>I just saw people winning the lottery here by just forking a  <strong><a href=\"https://www.kaggle.com/code/tc0000/birdclef-starter-notebook\" target=\"_blank\">single notebook</a> .</strong> Over 200+ people have forked the same notbook, and some of them have won silver and some bronze 🙄.&nbsp;<br>\nWhat a joke for those who are constantly working hard and trying to make every possible effort to win!</p>\n<p>I think Kaggle staff should make some rules; there should be a constrant to make some changes if you fork a notebok othervise cannot submit. If this happens more often, I think this will shift people to not trying their own ideas and will decrease research diversity in general in competitions. Hard work and experimentation should be rewarded, since that is how we advance the field :)</p>",

As long as you learn the knowledge, I don't think MEDALS matter, the gold medal area hasn't been moved much. The story 'I forked notebook and got my silver medal' is nothing against 'We were listening to the sounds of pigeons with a bearded stranger from my team on the Internet when we were solving a bird recognition competition and came up with a dirty hack. It didn't work but it was cool' 😂</p>\n<p>So go on.. Do not be upset. Just step in to your next competition and have fun like there is no medal and money prizes there and do not care about hundreds of notebook forkers.</p>",
