  "content": "<p>Is hierarchical image classification a promising approach for the BirdCLEF2024 competition?  I've searched through the previous BirdCLEF competitions and found no mention of this approach. Has anyone tried this approach before?</p>\n<p>Below is a treemap of the number of classes by order and family for all classes in BirdCLEF2024.
