  "content": "<p>Hello,</p>\n<p>I am trying to match the secondary labels into ebird code. I am using the taxonomy csv file shared in the competition however some of them are not found in the csv file.</p>\n<p>To get the \"scientific name\" I usually join the SCI_NAME and the PRIMARY_COM_NAME. The ebird_code would be the \"SPECIES_CODE\" columns.</p>\n<p>I try to use the ebird website to find the species_code, however i see some difference in the name, so I would like to have the feedback of the host to be sure I have the proper matching for these examples : </p>\n<blockquote>\n  <p>'Amazilia saucerottei_Steely-vented Hummingbird': \"stvhum2\"<br>\n  'Herpsilochmus rufimarginatus_Rufous-winged Antwren': \"ruwant4\",<br>\n  'Pyriglena leuconota_White-backed Fire-eye': \"eaafie1\"<br>\n  \"Rhynchophanes mccownii_McCown's Longspur\": \"mcclon\"<br>\n  'Saltator coerulescens_Grayish Saltator': \"grasal3\"<br>\n  'Yungipicus kizuki_Pygmy Woodpecker': \"pygwoo1\"</p>\n</blockquote>\n<p>For instance, Herpsilochmus rufimarginatus_Rufous-winged Antwren is written  Herpsilochmus rufimarginatus Rufous-margined Antwren  which is slightly different (winged vs margined). There's an incomplete effort to harmonize them… </p>\n<p>Xeno-Canto uses the IOC taxonomy, and ebird codes are based on the Clements taxonomy.
